There are 3 stages to complete your legacy video: Stage 1: creating your story; Stage 2: filming your story and Stage 3: assembling and delivering your story. Our approach is designed to ensure your story is told in a safe and secure environment.
Creating your story Video
We will come to your home, business or a place that is convenient for you to discuss with you your story. This is the discovery stage where we will take the time to get to know you and the key aspects of your story and the people and locations we will be filming. From this initial meeting, and subsequent telephone and email conversations, we will create a story outline or script, with a theme that brings the story alive. We will run the script outline by you and any modifications you want will be incorporated into the final story outline. Once you give us the approval, we are off to the second stage of the production process, “Filming your Story”
Filming your Story
Our production crew will come to your home or place of business, or the location(s) indicated in the creating story stage. This could be a one-person crew with camera and simple lighting to multiple crews with more complex camera, lighting and sound set ups. The crew and equipment configuration will depend on the story outline and the pricing package you select. (See Pricing packages on this web site). We recognise that the people we interview on the video may never have had a camera in front of them and it can be daunting at first. But we spend time to get to know the people we are filming, so they are comfortable and feel safe telling their story to us.
Assembling and delivering your story
This stage is where your story is told, and the magic really happens. All the video footage, stock video and any of your videos and your photos you want in the story are assembled by our editor and the video is delivered to you. You will be reviewing the first cut of the video. This is your chance to make comments and suggest changes. We then incorporate your suggestions into the final video. It’s your choice how you want it delivered. From classic DVD’s (remember them?) for your own private viewing to social media sites like you tube and Instagram, twitter and Facebook. If you want it on the web or your own web site, we will work with your web site builder to make it happen.
